A few things you might like to know about the Nokia 6300
Ive had the phone for a little over 14 days now. Here is a few things you might like to know.
- It synchronizes fine with iSync over USB.
- You get an USB-cable with the phone.
- The memory card you get with the phone is laughably small.
- In both physical dimensions and mb-wise.
- If you want to copy the software on the original card over to a new one, you will either have to shuffle the cards a couple of times or do it via a computer.
- The screen is crisp and clear and very nice.
- You can make smileys by clicking “1” 3 times ind a row.
- Opera Mini works on it.
- No 3G but GPRS works.

Kathy: No, not unless you use it quite a lot. I use mine a couple of times a day and still it needs to be charged so infrequently that I often forget where I put the charger.
Mikey: It’s a standard usb-miniusb cabel. You can get them in most electronic stores. Just pop open the rubber cover at the bottom of the phone and show it to the clerk and he/she should be able to get you the right cable. If not, get out of that store right away and find a good one.

USB cable does not ship standard—depends on the provider. My manual states it is optional (didn’t receive USB cable in Canada).

I want to connect the nokia with the computer so i use a usb cable and the programme pc suite that came with the phone. When i do this my computer says it’s connected but pc suite says this phone misses pc suite files and therefore can not connect. Result is i can’t do anything, does anybody know a solution?

Hi, the front panel of my phone has got little dent on it. The dent has come on the left hand side just next to the screen, the phone is working fine but dust is coming on the screen which is affecting the clarity of the screen in day time. Does anybody advice me from where i can get a new original panel for my phone on cheapest price.
I got my 6300 with 128mb card and thats quite enough for me, but no usb cable. Anyway, i was gladly surprised that my external card reader does not support this nokia tiny card, but its connection usb cable suites perfectly for the phone!
For all of those who need to charge battery every day – this is normal, if your phone is older than 1.5 years – the battery is dying, go get new one. And by the way, it is very necessary to let phone discharge fully before recharging the battery at least for the first 3-5 times – this way your battery will last much longer and its lifespan will increase significally. If you charge it every time you get to the powersource, it will die very soon.
As much as I like the 6300 the short time between battery charging IS an issue. Anybody got any ideas?
I have a 6300 which has a BL-5C battery inside.someone told me that it comes with a BL-4C battery.though the battery fits snugly and doesnt have any operational problems.will it affect the performance or function of the mobile in the long run?also I have a Micro SD card which is write protected so i cant copy songs or videos using my Card reader.How can I unprotect the Card?

Actually, I bought 6300 yesterday,but my problem is,, if i made some vedio with a friends, it can easily be full and saying that MEMORY FULL, eventhough it has only 2 vedios was saved… in the long run,,, i cant open the vedio unleas i deleted some vedio clip,,,
My question is,, how many vedio clips we can store in the 6300,, is it depending of the time coverage? or what?...

Yesterday i bought Nokia 6300 its Amazing phone. Display clarity is too good uncomparable with other nokia phones. All themes are displayed excellent its like mini computer. Battery is not issue but no loud sound that is the one problem in this set.

I bought this phone 2 days ago, haven’t had a single problem. My battery hasn’t died, and that’s after making phone calls and txting heaps! Didn’t come with a USB cord, but I have 10 trillion from my cameras that all fit it, and I got a 512mb card with mine, which is pleanty enough for me. I love it!
I bought mine from the philippines this jan, it is lock with a certain network provider. I had no problems with it except now. My phone keeps on restarting almost every 2 mins, is it a battery issue? Nokia PC suite can’t even connect with the phone but the 6300 has its USB indicator connected? what seems to be the problem?
I can not even update its software or restore its factory settings keeps saying it has failed to restore.

but i am yet to get how to programme the GPRS on it.
My pc is moderately superannuated and I hold been told that having anti spyware installed on it when one pleases relaxed it down nearby at least 25%. I am pensive what is the lesser of two evils! No anti spyware or intrusion alongside spyware! As I am fairly late-model to computers I am at the stage being passably circumspect fro downloading things. Communication much appreciated. I am on XP proffesional.
Nokia 6300 is a very Handy and beautiful set.
i bought 6300 a year before and i found it nice. but now i got a serious problem in which my phone blocks the outgoing voices and only listening the incoming calls.i’ve visited the nearby service centers(mobile repairing shops).they replaced mike with a new one but doesn’t work it out.what they suggest now is making a new connection by they call it a jumper; the speaker and the mike.what do u advice me?
